The Global Online MBA is a two year, part-time programme that is delivered in a distance learning online format, focusing on innovative thinking and new technology to deliver a practical curriculum.

The programme consists of pre-study modules, core modules and electives which will allow you to build your foundation in business while tailoring your learning to specialise in an area of interest to you.

You will experience our state-of-the-art online learning platform, The Hub, that provides you convenient access to all programme materials and connects you with your peers and tutors.

The programme also contains key classroom learning experiences, both on our London campus and in global locations. These include your induction week, an optional Global Experience Week and other global study opportunities, and the Capstone, which allow you to build your global network, reinforce strong connections within your cohort and apply knowledge gained from your programme.

The entry requirements for the Global Online MBA are as follows:

Work experience

Five years’ relevant postgraduate work experience; however, candidates with a minimum of three years’ relevant experience can be exceptionally considered.

Academic requirement

You’ll normally need one of the following:

• At least a Lower Second Class Honours degree OR international equivalent
• An acceptable professional qualification:
  • Full membership of Any Institute of Chartered Accountants in the UK or Ireland
  • Full membership of Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accounting
  • Associateship or Fellowship of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA)
  • Full membership of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)

English language requirement

All programmes at Imperial College Business School are linguistically demanding, and therefore strong English language skills are critical to academic success on your MBA and in your future career. The English language entry requirements listed here are the minimum scores needed for admission, successful students typically demonstrate higher levels of achievement.

Candidates who are required to take an English test to meet the language requirement are strongly encouraged to take this before applying and supply their scores as part of the online application. A strong result in an approved English language test will add weight to your application.

Apply online

Applications for the Global Online MBA are made through our online application system, which gives you the flexibility to complete your application in your own time and save your progress. The form includes questions about you, your career and your educational history to date.

Interview

Your application will be reviewed and you may be shortlisted for the interview stage. You will speak with a member of the Admissions Committee in an online interview lasting approximately 30 - 40 minutes and conducted within the published interview week dates for the application round that you have applied for.

Final decision

After your interview, your full application and interview performance will be assessed by the Admissions Committee. If you are successful, we will make you a conditional offer of admission for the programme. You will be notified of the outcome of your application by email no later than the published decision date for the application round that you have applied for. You will be able to log in to our online portal to respond to your offer, view full details of your conditions and pay your 10% deposit for the programme.

Imperial College Business School is pleased to offer significant scholarship funding to our most talented applicants. A range of scholarships are available and all self-funded candidates are automatically considered for all scholarship schemes for which they meet the eligibility criteria, entry requirements and application deadlines.

Scholarships of up to £20,000 are available for September 2021 and January 2022 entry.
