London Business School (LBS) has announced that it will launch a MOOC—massive open online course—in Brand Strategy on Coursera beginning next month.
The new MOOC will tackle brand strategy and demonstrate how the world's most successful brands work. The course will explore brand-building in a variety of business areas, including organizationally and human resources. It will also cover multi-brand companies, brand health, and brand value.
The overall theme of the course is that brands are no longer just visual identities and promises to customers, but have evolved to be customer experiences delivered throughout the entire organization.
LBS' new MOOC will take five weeks to complete. During each week participants will explore different aspects of brand management, from brand purpose and experience to brand metrics and returns. Each module will include about one hour of video lectures, plus some practical exercises. Coursera estimates that participants should expect to spend between two and three hours on the course.
The course is designed for both marketing and non-marketing professionals, particularly human resources professionals, but also those working other business areas who need to understand their critical role in delivering on the brand promise.
LBS' Brand Strategy MOOC will begin on October 7.
