The Cleveland, Ohio-based Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management has announced the launch of a new Online MBA in Healthcare.
The "Online MBA with a focus in Healthcare Management" program is aimed at professionals who are either already working in the healthcare sector or who would like to transition into it. The program includes MBA core classes, but some 40 percent of the curriculum will be healthcare-oriented, addressing topics such as "AI in healthcare," "healthcare decision making," and "lean operations in healthcare systems," among others.
Weatherhead's Online MBA in Healthcare will feature live, classes delivered online, meaning students can participate from anywhere in the world. Students will also have access to a career services team as well. The school's website that the career paths available to Healthcare Online MBA grads may include hospital administration, medial device manufacturing administration, and clinical informatics management, among others.
It's estimated that the program will take eight semesters to complete.
To apply for the program, prospective students should have between three to five years of work experience. The GMAT is not a required component of the Healthcare Online MBA application.
The new Online MBA is set to launch this fall. The early decision deadline is May 24 and the final application deadline is July 19.
