UC Irvine - Merage to Launch Hybrid MBA Program

New program can be completed in between 24 and 33 months

UC Irvine's Merage School of Business will launch a part-time hybrid MBA program this fall.

The Fully Employed MBA Flex—or FEMBA Flex—will combine online learning with in-class sessions.

The on-campus sessions, which will focus on discussion, project presentations, peer-to-peer learning, and interaction with faculty, will take place four Saturdays per academic quarter; the rest of the curriculum will be delivered online.

The program length is flexible. The MBA can be completed in as few as 24 months.

According to a news release from the school, the online components of the program will be delivered through an integration of various technology platforms, including Canvas, YellowDig, Zaption and others. No details were immediately available with regard to minimum computer or tablet requirements.

The FEMBA Flex program is aimed at early- to mid-career professionals and managers seeking to advance or redirect their careers or achieve entrepreneurial goals.

To apply for the program, potential candidates must submit a GMAT or GRE score, although this may be waived for applicants who hold a PhD in a quantitative field.
