There are probably a lot of cheap programs out there, but I think that using cost as the sole basis of making this kind of decision is a recipe for disaster.
I just saw a press release about a less expensive program that inadvertently awarded an MBA degree to a cocker spaniel. You probably don't want to go to that school.
I would start researching programs, and figure out which suit your academic and professional needs - and then try to figure out a way to fund your decision (through financial aid, taking a year to work and save up money, etc.)
Just for reference, here is the total ballpark cost for a few of the better distance learning programs:
ASU WP Carey: $42,000
Florida State: $18,500
Aberdeen Business School: $20,000

Hi Ralph nice to read your thoughts...however for any newbie reading this forum it is important to mention that there are NOT a lot of cheap programs out there!!!
Most surely cost should not (always) be the main reason for choosing a program though in this days of crisis, cost is important!! So it is wise to look for "value for money" courses!!! For example UK Unis offer much cheaper MBA's and the academic standing is more straightforward than other (USA, Canada, S.Africa or even the cheapest India).
Well for those who cannot afford spending a small fortune around 20000 euros there are alternatives (always speaking about EU degrees) with reasonable cost and of course more reasonable reputation from non EU degrees.
So in this search for "value for money" courses I welcome you all....up to know I have found only 2 MBA's with around 5000 fees of course from reputable Unis....what about YOU?
Looking forward to you contribution!!!
Cheers!! :)
