Online MBA

NRaj

Hi Guys

I'm looking at applying for an online MBA course.
My current considerations are(not in the order of priority)
1. Colorado State university online MBA
2.Warwick
3.Imperial Business School
4.Durham Business School
5. Queen Mary University of London
6. Kelly Online

I have looked at the FT ranking and do not find Imperial listed there. Is the program good?

I'm planning to apply for the September 2018 intake. Which universities would be a good bet in terms of career growth oppurtunities

Are there any other great programs/universities I'm missing

Waiting for your answers

Thanks in advance

These schools have alumni networks in different continents. Why not focus on the schools with the best focus for you?

Do you suggest I apply to colleges locally?

I can't suggest much more. I have no idea where you are, what your goals are or what the options are.

Just to give you a little background. I have done my engineering and have 6 years of IT experience (4 years managerial)
I'm looking to enhance my skills and have a career progression with the MBA
At this point i can't go for a full time MBA and hence I'm looking for online/distance learning from reputed universities
I dont have a GMAT score and I don't intend on writing one soon
I hope this helps!

Any suggestions about Imperial?

I've got a first round of interview scheduled with Kelly school. How would this be rated?

Thanks

Queen Mary, although is a very good school does not have one of the three important accreditations. I don't think it is comparable to the others. You are also missing Isenberg and IE

Yes George you're right about Queen Mary
IE and Isenberg require a GMAT score which I don't have

You have not missed the deadline for Illinois: https://onlinemba.illinois.edu/apply/

Furthermore, there are four different access routes fo so even if you miss the formal intact you can still register to take individual courses now and then join the full IMBA cohort with the next intake.https://onlinemba.illinois.edu/admissions/access-points/

Colorado is not at same level as the others of your list
are you looking to use the university network to find new job?
looking to go to another country?
or just want some quality education ?

Would you say Colorado is lower on the rankings? I want some quality education as an additional degree and also probably in the long run settle in another country

CSU is very much lower.

Use LinkedIn to see which of these business schools has the best network in the country you want to move to.

Hi Duncan

Really need your honest feedback here

I'm confused if I should apply to Imperial given that it has not been ranked by FT

At this point I'm considering to apply to Warwick, Illinois, Durham

I'm really confused about Imperial as I've read a lot of positive and negative comments about the global online program.

Regards

This depends on your goals. If you want to work in the UK, I don't think Imperial has any advantage over Warwick.

Thanks Duncan. I will consider Warwick.
What do you suggest about Kelley Business School's online MBA program
I've been shortlisted for this. Should I pursue?

Thanks

According to the FT Kelley's is the #4 Online MBA program in the world. But Warwick would probably be better if you're looking for a UK - based network versus one in the US.

Hi Duncan,
I've applied for the iMBA from Illinois and been shortlisted as well.
My question is as far as online MBA's are concerned which would be better
1. Warwick
2.Durham
3.Kelley
4. Illinois

The MBA from Kelley is really expensive. I know Warwick is ranked 1 according to the FT.
I'm looking for career services as well. So which would be my best bet now?
