Don;t go to "SMC University- Switzerland". Stick to schools with the legal right to issue academic degrees.

I don't think that either of these programs will help you meet your goals.

In general, you should study where you want to work. If you plan on settling in the US, your best bet is a US-based school that's accredited by AMBA, AACSB, or EQUIS. Start here:

http://find-mba.com/lists/top-business-school-by-speciality/top-business-schools-for-supply-chain-management

Great schools would include MIT Sloan, Wisconsin, ASU - Carey. Others you might look at would be UT Knoxville, Northeastern, Smeal...

If you don't plan on continuing in supply chain, then you might consider a different program that will help you with your industry/functional goals. I wouldn't do anything that's not accredited by AMBA, EQUIS, or AACSB, though.

Thank you hipster,

AACSB from US is not less than 12000$ which is out of my range. All I left with above mentioned options. :(

@ Aimymalik,

How exactly would you settle in US after graduating from an unknown school in Switzerland / Spain?

Focus next few years in getting your GMAT score up to max scholarship, and save money. try to get into ASU, Penn State - Smeal - if not UT Knoxville, NE, NCSU, U of Arkansas etc. are still better.
These schools are not only in the same continent, they are in the same country - which will help you in your chances for settling in US.

My I-30 Visa is already under process. Now foreseeing what could increase my chances to get job soon after entering NY state.
I have planed
1. Low cost online master degree (the best option found is the one from Spain)
2. CSCP certification from APICS
3. Learn Spanish

Wish me good look :)

@Aimy

I think if you are interested in Online MBA, there might be better cheaper options in US. That way you can save yourself the trouble of learning Spanish.

In addition to CSCP, you can also think of CPIM from APICS. Not sure about the individual costs of the programs, but maybe try for a Masters in SCM from the likes of Purdue, Penn State, and the likes.

Anyways learning Spanish for an online program looks a long shot, However, if that's what you think is best for you. Then do it, Good luck!

The other person would not need to learn Spanish. The AUB is in Barcelona (where they speak Catalan) but a quarter of its graduate programs, including its online masters, are in English.

Of course. This program has:
- no network to speak of in the US
- no international accreditation
- no career support

And I'm not sure how far Spanish would go towards getting a job in New York...

In the end, a degree is not about visa status or a piece of paper, but the aspects behind that: the network, the career support.

In this sense, I echo the others on this thread: best save your money for a degree that has AACSB accreditation. Taking free online classes on Coursera, etc., would probably do as much for you as this program and save you some money.

Can one help to find regionally accredited online master in supply chain, logistics or operations. Cost for the program does not exceed 6000USD.

GC is AACSB but the cost is 12000$. Which is out of my range. I am looking for Regionally accredited university which may cost not more than 6000$.

I think the only way to do that would be to use WGU and try to do their MBA in two 6-month semesters: http://www.wgu.edu/business/master_business_administration_degree That would be very demanding.... 30 hours a week of study.

Unfortunately they do not accept international students.

Here is the response i received from WGU

''At the present time, Western Governors University is not accepting applications from persons living outside the United States (unless you are an active-duty U.S. serviceperson or spouse of a serviceperson stationed at an overseas U.S. installation).

Reaching this decision was not easy. It derives from WGU's commitment to provide superior service to all students. Unfortunately, differences in time zones, problems locating secured, proctored testing centers, and difficulty providing high-quality mentoring create barriers to delivering adequate service to international students. ''

That's really interesting. I wonder if these challenges are affecting other smaller online programs? International interest seems like a great way to generate interest in the program (not to mention more tuition fees).
