Missouri State MBA

MBYAY

Hi All,

I've been looking into the Missouri State MBA and am curious if anyone else has any information, either from their own research/anecdotally or as a current student?

Estimated costs for the online program are just over $11k and while the program isn't as comprehensive as say the Gies iMBA, it is accredited and does seem like very good value if this price is accurate.

I'm keen to hear any experience anyone has with this program and its overall quality (on a side note, I work in the software industry and am looking to improve my network - it doesn't look like many of its alumni work in this industry, so would be interested to hear if this is accurate or not).

A school like Missouri State will have a much smaller and more local alumni network than a school like UIUC.

For what this is - a bare bones, AACSB-accredited MBA program, this is a great value. You'll get a good, verifiable education. But the perks that come with paying more - a larger network, more academic and career support etc. - will be lacking.

You can do some research on LinkedIn: see how many users in your area / industry have MBAs, and among those people,, which of these schools is better represented. This will give you a good idea of how strong / relevant each school is in terms of the kinds of organizations you want to work in.
