Hi,
I am a veterinary surgeon working in the UK.
I have been working in the pet food industry for 4 years now, and I would like to progress my career and have access to more senior roles within the industry.
I have a solid scientific background but I need to have a better understanding of all the "non-scientific" parts of the business (finances, marketing, strategy, management...).
The main goal of my MBA online would therefore be to help me go out of the "scientific box" I am always put in, giving me and possible employers confidence to explore other roles.
I have received an offer from QMUL but read that this is not a great MBA, I am now considering OU (I also received an offer).
Do you think that my project is coherent and the OU would be a good choice?
Thank you for your help.

You say you want to understand the business side but have you worked out what potential roles you would like to move into? 'Management' is a bit of a catch all term, you should think about specific roles/career paths you might want to follow. Are you thinking of moving company for example? Or are there any people in business roles at your current company who used to be veterinary professionals? What was their career path to get there?
Only then is it worthwhile thinking closely about doing an MBA or other similar couse.
