I was accepted into both Durham and Warwick online MBA programs. Now I have to make the decision on which one I will attend. Although Warwick is generally higher ranked, Durham is never too far behind in terms of MBA rankings and general university rankings. I also live and work in the US, so I’m not sure if employers are going to weigh them any differently.
My main concerns with Warwick is that it’s a young/ \newer university. It’s only about 50 years old while durham is over 180 years old. Durham is also cheaper and does not require travels to U.K. I’m also concerned about brexit affecting international rankings for U.K. universities, so even though they are both ranked well internationally, that might not be the case in 3-5 years.
In the US, do you think my job prospects would be any better with an MBA from Warwick vs durham?
I am very torn between the 2 schools. It's basically come down to price and future outlook for the universities. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Both are excellent schools, have a look at the alumni on linkedin and the electives to see if there is one which better matches your goals. I don't see Brexit having much impact on scores. Why are you looking at UK schools though, if you live and work in US would it not be better to do a US program?
I am 6 months in to Durham - any specific questions feel free to ask.

I don't understand the statement about Warwick not being too far ahead of Durham. What MBA rankings show them performing similarly?

Duncan, I think tom jones may be referring to FT ranking which places Warwick in the first place for online MBA. Durham is second in UK and fifth overall.
I'm in the very same position, contemplating whether to go with Warwick or Durham.
Appreciate everyone's thoughts :)

In such a small ranking, is first and fifth comparable? In the full-time ranking, would a school a similar distance between the top and the bottom be called comparable to the top school?

What rankings are you looking at that has Warwick at the top and Durham at the bottom? Even in the FT global MBA rankings, Durham is only 4 spots behind Warwick in the U.K. around 23 spots globally. I personally think that pretty comparable, but I guess that’s just me

really? This is turning into a waste of my time... sorry I even asked the question.

Dude, I didn't say Durham was at the bottom. You are wasting your time asking me to defend point I don't and did not make.
