Niels, you are mistaken. UoP is accredited by the HLC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Higher_Learning_Commission) which is the regional accrediting body for the 19 mid-west and south-central US states.

There are reasons why people should not buy from UoP - principally that their graduation rate isn't great. But it is an accredited US university, not a diploma mill. Please don't make this stuff up.

They control that board. So, that would be like me saying "I am the best MBA consultant on the planet (which arguably can be right, but still not providing any weight to my argument).

Niels, anyone can tell you that you're not the best MBA consultant on the planet because you keep on saying stuff that just isn't true. An, if UoP controlled it, why would the US federal government and every prestigious university in those 19 states allow that.

Honestly, you don't need to be perfect to be an MBA admissions consultant. You can be lazy *or* stupid. But you can't be both because you end up, like now, asserting things which are both easily verified as being untrue and at the same time are self-evidently untrue to anyone familiar with the MBA market.

Students here are making important, life changing, decisions. You owe it to them to bring your best work to your comments here.

If you seriously think at UoP controls the HLC, bring a reference or a fact to support it. Please don't just make this stuff up.

It's true that I keep on missing the point, because your point is profoundly mistaken. It is pointless for you to say that people who disagree with you are on drugs or miss the point, when you can't point to a single reference to back up your claims.

If its on the website then post a link here. In my post above from yesterday morning I posted a link which lists the members of the HLC board and there is no-one from UoP on the HLC board. Your colleague Niels is mistaken.

But, even if UoP did have a member on the HLC board, what would that mean? The HLC and North Central Association date back to the 19th century and is one of the most respected university accreditation bodies in the US. It accredits every respected university across 19 states. How can Niels think this is run by one college? Your boss is not doing the basic research.

I am glad your boss got upset. I and other people were right to disagree with him. What he said about the HLC is stupid but what he said about HEC is unethical and immoral. You and your boss should find another sort of work because his advice will lead students in very wrong directions.

I am happy with your career advice. Just that I am going on here as a legitimate kind of business. This will certainly not count for all people in this thread.

Niels, how legitimate can your advice be when -- for example on the UoP and HLC - you are stating as facts something which are clearly not true. That itself is libel.

Regardless of who is on the board, The UoP is a regionally accredited university by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA) via the Higher Learning Commision (HLC). The NCA is recognized by both the US Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education accreditation. The legitimacy of the university was never, and should not be in doubt. Full Stop.

Obviously, you both feel very strongly about UoP
