Hmmm. I'm not terribly convinced by this one. Having spent some time looking through their online material, I've yet to find any reference to a reputable accreditation agency - normally this would be standard for any institution which hopes to be taken seriously. Further, ICFAI's claims to being approved by the CFA appear more than a little dodgy (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ICFAI_University 'Controversies Related to CFA').

I have joined the ICFAI, executive MBA. So far everything is good. Means, Interaction level and supporting from the university is good. The only flexible, which suported my life style was this. Have more than 6yrs of industry exp, I didn't want to write exams like freshers. As well, the journal from Harward and the farework was convincing. ICFAI name is quite familiar now in India. And I had checked with the university they are associated with many foreign university.

ICFAI is well recognised brand in India as well as abroad. It has opened its own study centres in Australia and Dubai. ICFAI is properly recognised by UGC and DEC (see my post at http://www.ekalavyas.com/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=105 ) and can offer MBA degrees (not PGDBA diplomas).

My personal view is that if we have 10 regulatory bodies in India like UGC, DEC, AICTE and if some institute is affiliated to most of them then we should not always look at negative aspect only.
