I have applied to those two as well (for the finance and accounting program), but I´m still waiting on their decision. I have Strathclyde pretty much in mind, because of its recognition. It appears that it is one of the best (within the tier 2) for business. Durham I have heard that there are a lot of rich kids, and that social life is not extraordinary. However, I came accross Reading University´s programs (including the ICMA Centre programs) and they have very good programs, with good faculty, and the subjects appear to be interesting. I´m seriously considering applying to that one too. (Does any body has some insights on Reading and ICMA??)
So based on my research, Strath is good for academics, city life is good, but diversity is not that great within the student body (and it´s far from London!).
Durham is good on academics, the school is small (too smal for some).
Students seem to be satisfied on these two schools, and the living costs are OK.

When you say Reading do you mean the Henley flexible learning program?

If that's what you mean, then I'd definitely think that it's competitive with Strathclyde and Durham. Henley's been known for its EMBA programs, but is more of an up-and-comer in terms of its MBAs - and is starting to show up higher and higher in the rankings, if that means anything.

From what I've read about the online program, it enrolls far more people than the other two, which is good in that it might be more well-known in the business world... But there might be less personalized instruction, although what that means in a distance learning program is anybody's guess.

But having a triple accredited program, either traditional or online, is definitely a good thing.

hi, i need to finalize between Bradford MBA and Strathclyde MBA. Please provide your inputs as both seem equally competitive. I need to know which one has higher demand with employers? even though strathclyde has triple accredition , i believe bradford is going to get its third one by next year. Kindly post your views.
