Any advice for an art historian who wants to move into business and become an entrepreneur?

I am an Art Historian, educator, and specialist in the performing arts. I have a Master's degree in Art History and a Master's in Education, and many years of experience in the performing arts. I have been working as a guide in luxury tourism and also as a teacher for more than 20 years, but now I feel the need to take my career up a notch or two and adapt my expertise for the business world to increase career prospects and earning potential.


I would like to start a business in the visual and performing arts, and for this I am assuming I will need some knowledge of arts management, finance, and business.

Can anyone advise on which would be the best kind of program to enroll in? 

I'm looking for something online if possible, and part-time. Any advice or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I'd suggest a programme specialised in entrepreneurship. You need to know about creating a business much more than knowing the arts. Consider: https://www.hec.edu/en/executive-education/executive-masters/msc-innovation-entrepreneurship 

Thank you very much Dunca, that is helpful advice.  The price of this program is a bit out of my range, do you have any suggestions for a program like this which has lower fees? 

A MicroMasters or MasterTrack is a great alternative, since these are courses with serious assessment at the postgraduate level.
