Just found out :)
University of Maryland college Park - Robert H. Smith offers on edX the "MBA Core curriculum"
It costs $1350, and completing it counts as 25% of their online MBA (thus saving more than $20000 from their online MBA)
https://www.edx.org/micromasters/USMx-UMD-MBA-Core-Curriculum
The courses are also available to sign up for free for those that are just seeking the knowledge :) ... which I find the most interesting (I try to support free knowledge/education as much as I can)
In any case a certification "MBA Core Curriculum" from such good university, for only $1350 is surely something
Maryland - Smith offers MBA Core curriculum as MOOC

That's a decent and cost-effective route into a decent online MBA.
However, that's still a hefty price tag, especially when there are ranked options that are even less expensive than this discounted rate.

For the full online MBA, after the Micromasters, this is still more expensive than Warwick or Illinois.

For U.S. there are only 2 decent options that are considerably cheaper: illinois and amherst-isenberg. All the other ranked online MBAs are close to the Smith discounted price
The certification sounds very very very nice though. Many people are looking for cheap options, so there is definitely market/interest for it.
1/4th of a masters, with good title "MBA Core curriculum", and only 1350. I don't think it can get better. To compare, Bradford core was more than 5000 for 2/3 of a masters

But with Bradford you get academic credit, which you can transfer to some other universities. And with the Smith option... Presumably that does not have credit.

For those wondering, if you did the initial 14 credits through edX and then applied them to the Smith program, the total cost for the online MBA including the initial $1350 would be around $66k.
