I have applied to the Machester global MBA DL but I'm getting a bit worried about having time for it, especially with all of the workshops included.
Has anyone experience taking this course while not living very close to any of the Global Centres? I'm living in Spain and while it's not much of an issues to fly to Manchester now and then, it seems to be quite often.
Also could someone confirm exactly how many time per year there are workshops? I find the information on their website rather confusing regarding this.

It's pretty clear:

You have a three day induction at the start, and then two week-long modules in the first year. Then it looks like three weeks in the second year. I assume it's the same in the third year. As them?

Assuming that you're taking the global pathway it's 16 days in year one and 21 days in year two. The last six months are meant for completing the group project.
The formula has been revised last year coming from a 3 year schedule which has now been reduced with one semester. This new schedule is a little bit daunting, but you have the option to spread the MBA over a maximum period of five years.

Each module workshop is three days and you do two or three per semester. Usually these can be undertaken back-to-back, but this is not necessarily so in the overseas centres.
I live in Australia and have done workshops in Manchester and Hong Kong. Hard work doing them consecutively in series, but obviously it saves on the flight costs.
The ability to undertake workshops overseas is a huge plus, as you are exposed to other cultures and students, even though the academics and course content remains the same.
The course has recently been shortened to 2.5y for new entrants so I'm no longer sure of the number of days attendance per semester.
