Hi all, I found this site really helpful in helping me which DL MBA program to choose. I have Bachelor Degree with GPA 3.84/4.
My total Working Experience is 3 years (full time). and 1.5 year as part time. Actually I'm thinking if I can go for Global MBA in Manchester Business School this will help me to get good managerial position in my company after completing it. ( total exp. will be 6 years with MBA degree).
Actually i'm working sales Consultant in Auto industry and I'm seeking to be sales manager.
I found that Manchester MBA is High ranked Program. Has many global centers one of them in my country(Dubai).
The only issue now, they require 4 years min Exp. Can they consider my high degree and the part time exp.
can you give me your suggestions and advises? Does the MBA will give me advantage to get the position I want? Is their any other courses or certificates will be more helpful than MBA? Is Manchester the best choice right now?
Waiting your reply soon.
thanks

You'll have to ask Manchester, but I see that currently the minimum is the cohort is six years, and the average age is 34. You will probably benefit more from a part-time MBA when you have more work experience. A full-time MBA would be the more normal choice for you.
Dubai has lots of great part-time MBA programmes, but if you want to stay in your company then the question is really whether your company values MBAs, and which schools do they respect?

Thanks JK for your reply. When I contacted Manchester Center in Dubai they informed me that the min exp. is 4 years for DL MBA. I'm 24 years now so I don't know if they have aslo problem with my age. for the point that Dubai has great part-time MBA this is correct. However, I thought about Manchester because I don't want to have the degree where it will be mentioned that i have been graduated from Dubai Branch. it matters in most companies here. In general. MBA has value in most of the companies in the Auto industry. Even if I couldn't find the chance in my company for sure i'll find it in others. I'm not thinking in Full-Time MBA because I need to stay in my work to pay the fees.

Good suggestion, Duncan.
You might also want to check out Bradford's program in Dubai. Their minimum work experience requirement is three years (the average tends to be around five years though, so the rest of your application would have to be pretty good.)
