LEICESTER MBA by distance learning

There is a big difference between online and distance MBA.Most executive are delivered by a combination of online, distance and face to face seminers .This is the ultimate appraoch to MBA study because a student is able to apply the knowledge immediately.

A distance MBA from Warwrick University is surely more marketable than a fulltime MBA from Derby University. An online MBA from Liverpool will be more marketable than a fulltime from University of Derby ,in theory an online MBA from London Business School can be more powerfull than a fulltime MBA from Cambridge. Its all about the reputation of the business school and not the mode of deliverly.

There are alot of full time MBA graduates from top MBA schools who will never get into their careers because an MBA on its own without a specialist is nothing but a cream on the whole cake.

I think fulltime study is more suitable for undergraduates.I was excited to go to university for my BBA degree.I had no family or career commitments. Now i can not leave my family just for a masters degree. On a distance learning iam able to balance life, work and academia.Iam able to relocate anytime without being stuck in a corner of a classroom.

I think it's not so simple. You are right that the quality of the university matters, but the fact is that most MBAs which are called 'online' or 'distance learning' are not quite as good as the full-time MBA, for a few reasons.

Often they are taken by very different students, who sometimes don't have a strong enough career development to give them the confidence to study in full-time or executive programmes, which involve a bigger financial risk and reward.

And the educational experience is very difference, which is why most of those programmes carry a one-third discount on fees.

So, for example, the Manchester, Imperial and Warwick distance MBAs won't produce the same outcomes as full-time MBAs at less well-ranked schools, like Lancaster or Birmingham. The full-time MBA is a much richer experience, and students will increase their salaries much more powerfully with full-time programmes.

I am looking forward to join the MBA by distance learning programme from the University of Leicester and I am thinking to specialise in marketing. Can anyone please tell me if there will be mention of the 'MBA (Marketing)' on my Certificate which I will receive after completing the programme.

Any comments will be most welcome.

Thanks.

Please read the reviews by students on the Leicester MBA. They are really quite unhappy.
