I am thinking about any affordable degree in management instead of an accredited MBA degree. I understand HEC is a top French business school and its MBA is expensive, and I have found its certificates offered at rather reasonable prices, Then, I am wondering if these HEC online certificates are worth doing. Are they something like the graduate diplomas from LSE? Thanks!

I don't see the value of this over a $60 MOOC. Unlike the LSE diploma, which carries a year's academic credits for half the cost, this is a single course with no academic credit or degree. Why not take a strategy MOOC or the LSE diploma instead?

Even the LSE offers online certificates such as the MBA Essentials. Do they work as something like the LSE diploma?

The LSE MOOC does not carry academic credit. It's not comparable to the diploma.

Certificates vary. Some have credit and some even have graduate credit, like the Micromasters. I have MOOC certificates myself but paying thousands for a non-credit online certificate with the same content as a MOOC - like the Harvard Business Analytics course - is just vanity and sloth.

I think it is especially mean that the participants don't get into the real alumni association but only a group for other participants in similar courses. In comparison, the small ESCP degrees in their EMIB degree seem to have alumni status.

Thank you for your advice, Duncan. I appreciate your new recommendation. ESCP's expert degree is part of a master degree. In this point, it has an advantage over LSE's diplomas, which are bachelor level degrees. Do you think I am correct?

I think the LSE has some advantages: the LSE's graduate diploma contains a full year's courseload, so that's equivalent to at least 60 ECTS credits but, indeed, at the final year honours undergraduate level. And both the LSE and UoL are better known outside Francophonie. ESCP's expert degrees are only 15 ECTS credits each, but they will be at the graduate level. I assume that the ESCP expert degree will make you a full alumnus of ESCP, but with the LSE diploma you could be a University of London alumnus, but not also an LSE alumnus. For most people, the London graduate diploma is a better education and a bigger brand for roughly the same cost as ESCP. But ESCP is much faster and easier...

I am a law graduate with a civil law LLB (not European) and working as legal. My budget is so limited (accredited MBA are out of my budget) that I am considering affordable on-line degrees from well-known universities. As for the UoL degrees, I am thinking between the LLB (common law) and the LSE graduate diploma in management, which Duncan has mentioned. At the same time, I am searching for affordable but solid degrees like the LSE diploma. One of my goals is international mobility. Do you give me advice?

Why I am thiking about the UoL LLB is that it is a qualifying degree and seems to give any help to achieve my goal (the UoL LLM is out of my budget), but I have already got an LLB in my country. So, I feel the UoL deploma or ECSP expert degree will be the better choice.
