Coursera's online MBA partnership with Illinois seems to off to an excellent start. On the basis of the initial data the school submitted, it was ranked 29th by US News. Because the program is less than four years old, however, it doesn't yet qualify for the ranking. After Illinois pointed the error out, it was removed from the ranking. The story is explained at: http://poetsandquantsforexecs.com/2017/02/13/u-s-news-unranked-online-mba/
Perhaps the early participants in the iMBA are unrepresentative, but that shows that the iMBA has the potential to be one of the top onlime MBAs.

Even though the data was based on 6 graduates total, it's still pretty promising.

I contacted the university a couple months back to ask about career services for the iMBA (the website does not mention any)
Their answer was "We are still developing career services for the iMBA program. That information will be up on our website as soon as it is available."
One year later, and still nothing up

That's a bit disheartening.

For $20,000 it is unsurprising. You can surely access the uni's central facilities and, with the money you save, hire careers advice similar to that of the business school.

I suppose it's still a good price for a solid program. Although the University of Nebraska-Lincoln program, while a bit more, shows good salary growth in the FT ranking.

I've been in this program for over a year now and the first cohort is set to be done this fall.I plan to be done July 2018 within 23 months. It's an excellent value and overall experience for an online program. Lots of opportunities to meet and network with others around the globe. They are continuously tweaking the technology to make it better. The instructors are the same that you would get for the on-campus, professional or executive MBA. We have access to the career services and have had opportunities to attend the Apple HQ and participate in many of the Chicago area events. It's a very large alumni network. One of the key features of the program is that you can take a class as a non-degree seeking student so at $1000 (which may be reimbursed by employers), the risk is decreased.

I see that you've posted several times across this message board so I fear that this may be advertising.
What are the worst parts about the program? What would you change?
