Hi everyone,
as this is my first post here, I hope to do everything in the right manner.
I am currently looking for an online/distance-learning MBA, which I can complete completely (or at least 90%) online.
After thorough research, I found that the Bradford MBA is the best value for my given cost frame (max. USD 30'000).
However, in this discussion board, some of you mentioned the iMBA from University of Illinois as a good "low-budget" alternative. If you compare Bradford to Illinois, what are the differences, what would you prefer of these two and for what reasons?
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you.
Bradford vs. iMBA Illnois

The big difference is brand. Illinois is a world class university, Bradford is maybe stronger in most of the British Commonwealth countries. Bradford has been declining for the last decade: it had to suspend its full time MBA and withdraw its MBA programs in Italy and the Philippines. 20 or 30 years ago, it was the leading provider in the Netherlands and Germany. It has fallen out of the major MBA ranking. Big changes, while Illinois seems secure in the BusinessWeek US top 50 and the FT global top 100
The second difference is content. Illinois is integrative and has a strong core. Bradford teaches subjects very separately and has a better elective portfolio.

Thank you very much, Duncan. I am living and working in Switzerland, and I do not intend to make a career in the US. Still, if I read your answer right, you would prefer the iMBA from U of Illinois over the Bradford MBA, right?

Well, I would hesitate to make a recommendation without knowing more about your goals and options. Why not the EuroMBA or a school better known in the region of Europe that speaks the Cantonal language?

Honestly, I thought that the EuroMBA is much less respected then the other two. Also, with the EuroMBA you have some dates set where you have to attend classes. But, I think, I'll have a deeper look into it. Thank you very much.

Bradford suspended its full-time MBA, I am not sure about other UK business schools?

donho: No, I don't think any other major UK schools suspended their MBA.
Abdo: I have nothing to add to earlier comments about Illinois.

Durham, Strathclyde, and Birmingham are probably very close to your budget range, if you want more options.
Usually you want to apply to 4-5 universities, or more. Then based on which of them accepted you, you can consider what to pick

It didn't recruit a full-time MBA cohort this year, and also is not advertising one for next year.
