I don't know about these US News rankings: they're based on self-reported surveys and peer reviews. What about quantifying the results? How do these MBA programs affect careers, concretely?

It's strange to me how this list "ranks" James Madison, which only offers an ultra-focused MBA program online, in the top 10, but I can't even find UNC or Carnegie Mellon in the top 50.

Interesting - are there any rankings that list these schools based on ROI, or some other quantifiable factor? I can't seem to find anything that's like the FT Global rankings.

I am a co director in a young Pharmaceutical company in Nigeria with 8 field force members and I'm in search of new ways to increase their productivity while equally needing fresh ideas for new start ups and possibly a career change(keeping my options open).

I am low on funds and would prefer an affordable MBA that equally has good accreditation. I've scoured the net quite we'll and discovered that most MBA's with AASCB, AMBA accreditations are quite pricey. Even CIIM in Cyprus that I thought might be affordable CORE COMPULSORY COURSES

4. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY & e-BUSINESS
5. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
6. RESEARCH METHODS FOR MANAGERS

I don't think those are good options. Lagos Business School is the obvious choice, isn't it? If you want a distance learning programme with the right academic content, then take the LSE's BSc or graduate diploma: http://www.londoninternational.ac.uk/courses/diploma-graduates/lse/diploma-graduates-management .

I don't take a huge amount of notice of ROI, because lots of factors can skew it. For example:
- If entrants are early in their career, with limited work experience, their salary increase post-MBA is likely to be higher because they're starting from a lower base. Whereas if entrants are more experienced with concomitant higher pre-MBA salaries, the % salary increase post-MBA is likely to be lower. Yet the more experienced MBA cohort may get more out of their MBA, because the peer-to-peer learning will be greater.
- If a lot of students come from developing countries, but work in the US/Europe post-MBA, then the school's % salary increase will be high.

These factors may be more relevant to full time MBA programmes, but I wonder how many people change job after completing a distance learning MBA.

Lagos business school is good quite ok but I've got the challenge of not living in Lagos hence an online program will be most suited for me. Looked through the LSE link you sent but the diploma is not what I'm looking for coz I already have a PGD in management. An MBA will best serve my purpose. Decision making is so tough when one is low on budget. Very open to more suggestions.

Thanks for this. What I was interested in is if the higher-caliber distance learning MBA programs could substitute for an in class full time program. I'm coming to the conclusion that the answer is no, and it's because of the last thing you mentioned - that a lot of people may not want to change jobs after their online MBA.
