Affordable Distance Learning MBA UK : Queen Marry university of london (QMUL) or EBS Global 2020

thenewguy

Hi

I have 15 years of (solution architect/IT/Engineering) experience, I am thinking to do DL mba from affordable yet good recognized univ

I have narrowed down the list to 2 based on the below mentioned criteria

1. Fee: around £10000

2. Univ reputation

3. UK preferred (as i am based in UK)

I 'll be taking postgraduate loan most likely to fund the MBA.

In previous forum posts, i have seen Queen Marry UL mba has been mentioned better than ebs. What about 2020 ? i cannot see QM UL MBA in the ranking only EBS . why is this?

Why EBS is better than QMUL or otherway around why QMUL is better than EBS?

Thanks for your quidance

It might be due to the fact it's a relatively new programme? From previous posts on Queen Mary, I'm not sure it has been accredited yet.

To answer your question fully though, can you be specific about what you are trying to achieve and what are your goals? I work as an IT Director and I'm not sure I've ever come across a Solution Architect with an MBA.

The London Global MBA is awarded by UoL, not QMUL.

I don't know what your goals are in the UK, but an MSc from a better school or an MBA from the OU or MMU might be better.

As the UoL website state themselves "The Global MBA is accredited by a number of professional bodies including CMI and CIMA." In other words, none of the three main recognised accreditation bodies ASCB, Equis or AMBA.

CIMA, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, is a well recognised professional body in the UK but I don't think it really carries much weight when it comes to rating MBA courses.
